Bespoke event signage for Fernleigh, Chichester
Following on from the bespoke wayfinding created for Fernleigh in Chichester, a further piece was developed in collaboration with Alex at Millbrook Woodcraft; a walnut-framed cork event board designed to sit prominently at the main entrance.
Fernleigh hosts a varied and evolving programme of events, so the board provides a dedicated space to showcase what’s coming up. Positioned at the point of arrival, it offers visitors an immediate sense of activity within the building and encourages them to engage with the independent retailers and events taking place.
The handmade walnut frame complements the character of the period space, echoing the materials used throughout the wider wayfinding scheme. The cork surface allows for flexibility, making it easy to update content as the events calendar changes.
To support this, a series of branded event posters were designed and produced, each incorporating a QR code to enable quick and easy online booking. This combination of physical signage and digital access creates a simple, effective wayfinding and communication tool that works seamlessly within the environment.
The result is a considered piece of bespoke signage that balances practicality with a strong visual identity, enhancing the visitor experience while remaining in keeping with the historic setting.
